Look Who’s Been Adopted!

The sweetest word in animal rescue is “ADOPTED!”.  Here are some of the lucky ones who were featured on our website these past months.  Many thanks to those kindhearted folks who care for them and those who offer them a home.

MAURICE  “He talks when you speak to him! This friendly cat was left behind when his owner moved away, a disheartening and irresponsible act to say the least. Goodbye Kitty.” Thank you Melissa, a caring neighbour, for finding him a home.

BENJI  “Benji is sad because his mom and dad passed away within a few months apart. All of a sudden, he is left without a home.”  Not anymore, he has a new happy forever home!

LEAH  “This is an urgent urgent situation. Leah is a beautiful shepherd mix, spayed female and has all her shots. Her owner has cancer and can no longer look after her. She wants to euthanize her. Leah LOVES kids and people, but does not get along well with other dogs. She will be put down as I can’t find anyone who will take her. The husband passed away 2 years ago leaving his sick wife who has cancer and is suffering more than ever.  The whole scenario is depressing.  I just want to find Leah a permanent peaceful home who will love her.” – Cindy, a social worker who helped this family, also helped finding Leah a new home. Bless you, Cindy!

LADY  “This beautiful Lady was surrendered to the Haven by a heartbroken elderly gentleman, who had to move into a nursing facility and could no longer care for her.”  A wonderful musician offered Lady a home through Ursula at the Haven, now you’ll find Lady singing not only the blues but any music genres that suit her fancy. Aaaroooooo!

KAIA “Kaia came to us 3 months ago with a fractured pelvis as well as a dislocated leg injury….” After months of rehab and treatment at the Haven, Kaia was all fit and healthy and was adopted out to a wonderful forever home.

Last but not least, thanks to the kindness of a wonderful neighbour, a chained-up dog found forever freedom in a new home with an owner who vows that this dog will never be chained up ever again. Read this post here.
